------------------------------------------ Hello Everyone I am sure many of you have heard about the passing away of Chester Bennington, the lead singer of Linkin Park. It has hit some of the mods quite hard, including myself. So, I would like to take the time and remind everyone that thoughts about suicide or self-harm are not insignificant. Whether you are currently considering suicide or self-harm or in the future, I urge you to please reach out to those around you. It does not matter if it is professional help, even talking to family member, friend, teacher, colleague or someone that you trust. Reaching out can be difficult, and I myself understand this, but it does not make you a weak person. If anything, it makes you a stronger person because of it, since sharing your darkest thoughts to someone can be scary. And if you are not struggling with suicidal thoughts or self-harm, be aware of those around you. There are sometimes signs to suicidal behaviour, such as increasing talk about death or suicide, increase in drug or alcohol use, talking about being a burden, or withdrawal from social activities. If you do notice this and think it is serious, reach out to that individual. If they shut you out, you can contact your local authorities or police or their family member. Also, if someone wants to sit down and talk with you about their suicidal or self-harming thoughts, please sit down and listen to them, and take them seriously. It takes a lot of guts to open up, and this individual might be at their most vulnerable, so please, just listen to what they say, try to be supportive and assist them in getting help. I also realize that sometimes you have no one to trust or talk to. Fortunately, there are a couple of countries that have established suicidal prevention hotlines, and some of these hotlines broaden to include topics of sexual orientation, depression, mental health, etc. These are only a few resources that I could find, and I apologize if any of them are inaccurate as I do not live in all of these countries, but I will leave a few links to more resources: Australia Lifeline Australia Crisis Support and Suicide Prevention: lifeline.org.au/ Beyond Blue Depression and Anxiety: https://www.beyondblue.org.au/ Canada Kids Help Phone: 1 800 668 6868, or kidshelpphone.ca/ Canadian Association for Suicide Prevention: suicideprevention.ca China Lifelife Shanghai (English): lifeline-shanghai.com Shanghai Mental Health Center: smhc.org.cn/ or 021-64387250 France Fil Sante Jeunes: 0800 235 236 La Croix Rouge Ecoute: 0800 858 858 Germany Telefonseelsorge: telefonseelsorge.de India AASRA: http://aasra.info/ or 24-hour hotline 022-27546669 Japan Befriends WorldWide Osaka Suicide Prevent Center: spc-osaka.org Tell (English): telljp.com/lifeline/ Korea Counsel 24: counsel24.com/ Malaysia Lifeline Association Malaysia: lifeline.org.my/cn/ Netherlands 113 Suicide Prevention: 113.nl Philippines Natasha Goulburn Foundation: ngf-hope.org/contact-us/ or (02) 804-HOPE (4673), 0917 558 HOPE (4673) Manila Lifeline Centre: (02) 8969191 United Kingdom + Ireland Mind, For Better Mental Health: mind.org.uk Samaritans (Republic of Ireland as well): http://www.samaritans.org/ United States National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: suicidepreventionlifeline.org/ or 1 800 273 8255 The Trevor Project: thetrevorproject.org/ Crisis Text Line: text 741741 More links and countries, plus sourcing for info: More links and countries, plus sourcing for info: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_suicide_crisis_lines iasp.info/resources/Crisis_Centres/ https://www.mentalhealth.gov/what-to-look-for/suicidal-behavior/index.html (ARTWORK USED HERE BY MYROCKYS

Hey guys. I made this post just to make you guys understand a few things who reported that Wall of Fame takes lots of time to load. I used my own compression system so that every user can load faster. But then I noticed there are some quality loss with the optimized pictures. So I let users 2 options. 1.Low quality loading 2.High quality loading Low quality loading will load the picture's thumbnail. So it will take less data and also load faster.(Some user couldn't understand this. I am sorry that I couldn't make it that much user friendly but I am trying). When you will press the high quality loading button then it will download the original quality of the wallpaper. With original quality I prefer not to optimize it. Cause that way it always ends up with quality loss at some point. High quality loading will take time to load. As I already wrote about this on the description that some pictures might take a lot of time to load. Even after that we got some reports that it loads very slowly. I checked and checked and optimized more walls that I wasn't happy with because in result they weren't that crisp as I have seen. But I tried my best to keep it in good quality. THE APP DOESN't HAVE A LOT OF WALLPAPERS or COLLECTIONS Every Wallpaper on Wall of Fame's server is actually used by me. I used them for a long time. I liked it then I uploaded. I took a lot of time to search or discover the walls. I always prefer quality over quantity. Whenever I like a wallpaper I add that asap. Randomly adding stuff feels kind of cheap to me. But I am open minded if you want it I will keep doing it. Too much notifications...I am sorry for that. I try to keep you guys updated all the time. Whenever I upload new things my computer is set to send you notification about it. Notification feature of WOF helped users a lot to see if there's any new walls added or not. Sometimes I shared my other works as well. I did it because I thought some of you might like my other works. Nothing more. TO SAY I'M HUMAN NOT ROBOT. SO I MAKE MISTAKES A LOT. BUT YOU GUYS ARE SO NICE TO HELP ME FIX MY PROBLEMS. THANKS FOR REPORTING. THANKS FOR USING WALL OF FAME. HAPPY HOLIDAYS. |
